We're looking for a full-time Trade Support Specialist to join our team. This role is more than just order entry-it's about being a trusted partner to our Trade channel customers. You'll serve as a front-line liaison, ensuring that every interaction is smooth, professional, and solution-oriented.

In this role, you'll process orders from multiple sources including phone, email, and events, and manage electronic transactions with precision. You'll also respond to general inquiries, provide sales assets, and support our Trade customers in their marketing and selling efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-centric, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

R esponsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Trade accounts and other assigned partners. Serve as a professional and reliable point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and support.
  • Process daily Trade channel orders with accuracy and efficiency, including electronic transactions, acknowledgements, and special-order types such as complimentary copies, internal, event, and author orders.
  • Provide backup support for direct sales and customer service teams during peak volume periods, ensuring seamless order entry and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate policies and updates clearly and professionally to external customers. Share custom product templates, marketing assets, and other resources to support Trade partners in their sales efforts.
  • Manage Trade return procedures, working closely with Finance and Warehouse teams to ensure timely processing and resolution of return issues.
  • Coordinate department schedules and strategically plan shipments to minimize expedited shipping, overtime, and last-minute challenges. Maintain accuracy in Trade pricing and discounts in collaboration with the Pricing Specialist.
  • Utilize and maintain technology platforms including CRM systems and order entry tools. Ensure customer records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Support team initiatives by performing other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For
  • 2- 4 years of experience supporting customers via phone, email, and other channels; call center experience preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems and CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Proficient at Excel, Word, MS Teams, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in data entry and comfortable navigating various software applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, customer-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to self-direct, prioritize tasks, and solve problems independently.
  • Able to sit at a computer station, use repetitive motion on a keyboard, and wear a telephone headset for extended periods.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English desire.
