The Network Engineer will provide installation, maintenance, and support services for a variety of telecommunications and networking applications. This will include both remote and on-site services for Beacon Telecom’s private business and government client base. Duties and Responsibilities Provide support to implementation and support teams through Quality of Service models, IP addressing schemes, VLAN design, and security compliance Evaluate and analyze network performance to propose design and configuration requirements to meet the performance needs of a converged network Thoroughly and accurately document all active projects Serve as a primary point of contact for external clients and internal teams Travel to private and government client sites for product installations, routine maintenance, and problem troubleshooting as needed Provide remote support to technical and non-technical staff on client sites Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field Some internship or professional experience in IT or telecommunications preferred Basic knowledge of networking technology required Knowledge of wired, wireless WAN/LAN technologies is a plus Technical ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across multimedia and vendor diverse environments Self-motivated and continually seeking out opportunities for professional development Professional and charismatic customer service skills a must Ability to work on-site in Canton, MA daily Ability to travel for work as needed Classification : Salaried, Exempt Direct Manager: Head of Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr Beacon Telecom, Inc.
