The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located inbeautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

The ideal candidate would possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to perform the following, but not limitedto:

• Lead a large, diverse team in providing skilled nursing care and services to veterans
• Innovation leadership focusing on person centered care and team member engagement
• Regulatory compliance for state, federal and department of Veterans Affairs regulations and requirements

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have four years of experience working within a healthcare field to include three years of supervisory experience in the management of a hospital, long-term care facility or healthcare operation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed as a Long-Term Care Administrator by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Long-Term Care Administrators as required by KRS 216A.030 and KRS 216A.080 and defined by 201 KAR 6:020. titles/201/006/020/ Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
