About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join their executive leadership team. The CMO will play a pivotal role in maintaining the organization's strong, patient-centered culture and driving excellence in quality, safety, and patient experience. This key position involves interfacing with the medical staff and leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe healthcare. The CMO will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and administration of medical management, as well as the integration, coordination, and improvement of clinical care and patient safety across the healthcare system. Additionally, the CMO will guide the development and implementation of medical policies, practices, and clinical programs, and provide administrative oversight for various areas, including medical staff, quality, inpatient care management, CMS compliance, and infection prevention. The ideal candidate for the CMO role at the company will be a physician with a Montana medical license, board-certified, and have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a clinical practice setting, along with over 5 years' of administrative and leadership experience. The CMO must be a highly regarded physician leader with excellent facilitation and relationship skills, and possess knowledge of hospital finances. Experience in hospital regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and process improvement is also essential. The CMO will work closely with the Chief of Staff, the Medical Staff Executive Committee, the Chief Nursing Officer, and other physician leaders to ensure the organization's compliance with DNV and CMS standards and surveys, and to foster a close and mutually beneficial relationship between the medical staff and leadership teams.
