Overview The Role : Lumens is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Art Director to lead the visual expression of our brand across all channels. The Art Director will lead and develop a team of designers and copywriters in translating marketing and company-wide initiatives into strong visual brand campaigns. In this role, you will define and execute the visual strategy, ensuring every asset tells a cohesive, brand-aligned story. Experience in art directing interiors is a core requirement. Responsibilities Strategic Art Direction: Develop strong creative strategies that accurately reflect brand positioning Translate campaign briefs into innovative creative approaches that are audience and platform specific Establish, elevate and maintain global brand standards Lead creative concept development through visual research, mockups, and storytelling Present and communicate ideas, concepts and feedback properly and purposefully Collaborate with the creative team to ensure designs are relevant for the respective channels Lead the seasonal image realization. Work closely with cross-functional partners to build understanding of seasonal messaging and merchandising strategies to develop concepts, designs and art direction, and see through execution Incorporate Lumens brand DNA to embed storytelling throughout content Leverage cultural and market insights to inform concept and ideation Photography Direction & Selection Conduct ongoing and in-depth image research from past through present, with keen eye for evolving home design and cultural trends Concept and direct CGI photoshoots, including selecting environments, products, and styling Partner closely with CGI artists to ensure product representations are accurate in size, texture, color and finish Pitch and direct CGI artists on how to decorate interior rooms with our product Collaborate with Asset Managers to curate vendor photography that aligns with Lumens\' aesthetic for use in various marketing materials, such as advertisements, site, and social media Approve photography for use across various channels, including website, social media, email marketing, catalogs, PR, and events Oversee image cropping and editing for all digital marketing channels Team Management Review design proposals in weekly meetings and provide constructive feedback Engage productively with stakeholders and teams, offering thoughtful feedback and maintaining a solution-oriented mindset Mentor designers and set an inspiring artistic direction for the team to follow Qualifications At least six years of experience in art direction or a comparable creative role is required Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Experience using Figma for collaborative design workflows Proficient in building creative pitch decks Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus Maintain advanced knowledge of creative software, tools and creative process Deliver polished, cohesive creative concepts for cross-functional use Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to clearly and articulately explain your rationale and evoke excitement Prioritize and execute multiple projects efficiently, reliably meeting deadlines, and key creative milestones Embrace feedback and project pivots, consistently seeking opportunities to improve and innovate About Lumens As North America’s premier destination for design aficionados, architects, interior designers, and contract professionals, Lumens offers a discerning edit of modern lighting, furniture, and décor.
